History

Anastasios ‘Taso’ Hatsios started in the metal fabrication industry in 1949 working for Biotem in his hometown of Salonika, Greece.  In 1955 Taso came to the United States and after serving in the National Guard, h e worked with Dunn Steel Fabricators in Buffalo, NY.  In 1968 he became a general contractor which included repairing and fabricating rigging hardware for bridge painters.  In 1994 when Class ‘A’ containment was implemented many painters had a difficult time meeting the new regulations and they turned to Taso for a solution.  Taso installed his first wire rope steel cable platform on a project in Balsom Spa, NY over a railroad.  The project went smoothly and everyone involved was impressed with the advantages of the platform system.  Since then Taso has remained in the industry developing new hardware and improving wire rope steel deck platforms.  He continues today working to improve existing hardware and to develop new innovative hardware.

In 2004, Taso brought in additional expertise of his son, George as Vice President and his daughter, Linda as Office Manager. George and Linda have provided the infrastructure needed to take Bridge Platforms to the next level.
